The World of Xaltoria is a vast place that is largely unexplored. Once the home of great kingdoms and civilizations, there have been several catastrophes that have destroyed them throughout history. However, none have had the kind of effect The Age of Rending has. In this Age, the world was not only destroyed to its foundations, it was literally remade. New Beings both friend and foe walk the lands and what once was one is now divided by a dimensional tear known as 'The Rift'. Lazaron and Karatta are now the Kingdoms that the peoples of the world find themselves scratching an existence out of. Until recently, war and strife were all the citizens of these two places knew. However now each finds themselves, for various reasons, moving into an Age of Prosperity where the chance at a new life and new beginnings bring hope to a people that have not had any for a very long time.
