Heirlooms are items that have been purchased with Heirloom points. These items become bound to your account and are kept safe all through Ancestry Alpha/Beta. When the game is launched to live, these items are handed down to your future Live character who is assumed to be your 'Heir'. Heirloom items are available to be used by any character on the account.

Heirlooms that are not equiped on a character are kept in a 'vault' in the game.  You can take your characters to the vault to pick up heirlooms. Heirlooms can be dropped but only picked back up by their owner. They will also warp back to the owners vault if left on the ground too long outside the owner's property. After live launch, this protection will no longer be in place. Heirloom items can then be bought, sold, traded, given away or taken if left on the ground by others. The protection is ONLY through Ancestry/Beta.

Any item in the game except materials can be converted into an Heirloom item. Simply enter the vault and type STORE <itemname>. You will then be given the cost of the item and you can agree to the cost and the item will now be an Heirloom. You can leave it in your vault or equip it on any of your characters.

There will also be new items available online in your account area under Rewards > Shop. These items have limited quantities available for purchase. Once sold out, no more will be made or available. Once you purchase the item online, it will appear in your vault in game.
