Answer
Scavenge is an ability everyone has and is considered a Survival skill. You can scavenge in just about any area of the world, however what you will find wil be based on where you are at. For example, in a village on the road you may find pebbles and twigs while in a forest you may find leaves and branches.
Things that you find from scavenging can be used in crafting and also sold to NPC vendors or other players. Occasionally, you will come upon rubbish piles which will contain materials much like you would obtain from scavenging, but may also contain something a little more valuable.
Scavenging causes round time and though not a skill at this time, there is a ratio to successfully finding something in the area you are scavenging in. If the message 'The area seems to have been picked clean..' this means there is nothing left for you to find in the area, and you should move on.
To scavenge, simply type Scavenge or Scav.
You must have two free hands to scavenge and you can not do so laying down.
