So in an example here: Toe rings go on toes which would go on the Under layer. I can wear two rings on each toe totalling 20 toe rings. I put a pair of socks on, which on on the feet and take up the Out layer. The socks cover my toe rings. I put on my boots which take up the Over layer on my feet. This covers the socks, which cover my toe rings.
